Prolinate is a prescription drug, available for use as Injection. Primarily, it is used for the treatment of Schizophrenia. Prolinate also has some secondary and off-label uses. These are listed below.

The right dosage of Prolinate depends on the age, gender, and medical history of the patient. Dosage also depends on the route of administration and your chief complaint for which the drug is prescribed. Detailed information has been provided in the dosage section.

Besides the aforementioned side effects, there are other adverse effects of Prolinate as well, which are listed below. Usually, these side effects of Prolinate go away soon, and do not persist beyond the duration of the treatment. Please speak with your doctor if these side effects worsen or persist for a longer duration.

Furthermore, you should know that effect of Prolinate is Moderate for pregnant women and Severe for women who are breastfeeding. In addition, Prolinate's effects on the liver, heart and kidney are discussed below in the Prolinate related warnings section.

Prolinate is contraindicated in people with pre-existing medical conditions like Depression, Bradycardia (Slow Heart Rate), Reye's syndrome as it can result in adverse effects. Other contraindications of Prolinate have been discussed in the sections ahead.
