Convoy is a brand name of clindamycin and it comes in form of the capsule, injection, and topical gel. It is a prescription drug that belongs to the class of drug known as lincosamides. It is a broad spectrum antibiotic which is used in the prevention and treatment of bacterial infections such as pneumonia, strep throat, and pelvic inflammatory disease. The topical gel of Convoy is used in the treatment of acne vulgaris (pimples).

No, Convoy does not contains penicillin. It contains clindamycin which is a macrolide antibiotic that belongs to the class of drug known as lincosamide and it has a broad spectrum activity against a wide range of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria that are generally found to be resistant to penicillin.
