Digitran is a commercial drug that is prescribed in the form of Tablet. It is primarily used for the treatment of Heart Failure, Arrhythmia. Secondary and off-label uses of Digitran have also been mentioned below.
The optimal dosage of Digitran is largely dependent on the individual's body weight, medical history, gender and age. Besides the medical condition it is advised for, the route of administration also plays an important role in determining the correct drug dosage. Digitran contains digoxin which works by slowing down the heart rate and increasing the force of contraction of the cardiac smooth muscles (Heart muscles). This result in increased efficiency of the heart to work better and improves blood circulation in the body.

No, Digitran does not cause constipation. However, if you are experiencing constipation after taking this drug, it may be due to some other medical conditions. Take precautionary methods if you suffer from constipation such as eating fibrous food, drink plenty of fluid, and take some laxative (Lactulose syrup).
No, Digitran does not cause low blood pressure (hypotension). It has not been reported by the patients who are taking this drug. However, if you are experiencing lightheadedness or blurry vision (symptoms of low blood pressure) after taking this medicine then try to sit down and rest for a while till it subsides.
