Interaction between Alcohol and Eptoin Injection (1)

Eptoin should be taken at around the same time every day. Follow doctors instructions and take it exactly as directed. Do not exceed the recommended dose and duration.
Eptoin can be taken with or without food. Preferably given 2 to 3 times in a day. It may cause dizziness, drowsiness, and confusion. You shouldn't drive or operate heavy machinery while taking this medicine. However, take it exactly as your doctor has recommended you to take it.
Avoid taking Eptoin with paracetamol since this reduces the effectiveness of paracetamol. This happens because taking these medicines together increases the metabolism of paracetamol, which in turn reduces its bioavailability (the proportion of a drug substance which enters the circulation). Further, it may also increase the concentration of paracetamol in the blood which can cause liver damage. Please consult your doctor before taking these two medicines at the same time.
No Eptoin does not cause weight gain. However, long-term use of Eptoin taken in higher doses can cause weight loss. However, If you feel your weight is fluctuating after taking this medicine then inform the doctor to prevent unwanted weight gain.
