It is a broad spectrum antibiotic which is used in the prevention and treatment of bacterial infections such as skin infections and respiratory infections (pneumonia).

Does Ibizolid cause anemia?

Yes, Ibizolid may cause anemia, this occurs only in few cases. It is a rare side effect of this drug. It occurs due to bone marrow suppression which might cause anemia, leukopenia, pancytopenia, and thrombocytopenia. However, this effect is reversible in nature and the function of bone marrow is restored after discontinuation of this drug.
