Yes, Misotroy causes bleeding this occurs due to the expelling the tissues of the fetus from the uterus. But if you observe that the heavy bleeding is continuing for more than 2 hours or usage of a sanitary napkin is more than 2 pads every hour, then this situation warrants immediate hospitalization to recover from blood loss. In case of incomplete or unsuccessful abortion, you may require surgical procedures. The heavy bleeding can be due to uterine rupture. However, this is a rare situation which occurs only in very few cases.
Yes, Misotroy can terminate two weeks of pregnancy. In fact, it can terminate a pregnancy of 49 days (7 weeks) duration or less safe but sometimes there are chances that it might not fully terminate the pregnancy and some remaining tissues from the abortion are left in the womb in these cases. These remaining tissues are removed through a minor surgical procedure known as D&C (Dilation and curettage) procedure that involves dilatation of cervix and removal of the remaining tissue of the pregnancy from the lining of the womb through scraping (curettage).

Yes, Misotroy is used to prevent and treat NSAIDs (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) induced stomach ulcers. It works by inhibiting gastric acid secretion. NSAIDs (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) inhibits the synthesis of prostaglandins which leads to diminishing bicarbonate and mucus (phlegm) secretion which contributes to ulceration. Misotroy has mucosal protective properties that protect the stomach tissues from the damage caused by the stomach acid through decreased acid secretion and mucosal protective action.
Yes, [Medcine] has been reported to cause uterine rupture when given only after the eighth week of pregnancy. This occurs in a few cases only. You are advised to report to your doctor immediately if you are experiencing heavy bleeding after taking Misotroy.
