No, Cortim cannot be used for the treatment of cold sores. There is a dearth of good literature on Cortim's efficacy for cold sores. Cold sores appear as blisters around the mouth. These are usually caused by Herpes simplex virus. These can be managed by using a lemon balm, over-the-counter anti-viral medications, ice, aloe vera, sunscreen, etc. You should follow your doctor's advice completely.
