Yes, Gudloric is helpful in the kidney stone. It is used in the prevention of kidney stones (recurrent calcium oxalate stones) which is caused by the formation of the calcium oxalate crystals. Gudloric promotes precipitation of these calcium oxalate crystals which reduces the formation of kidney stones

What is Gudloric?

Gudloric is a brand name of allopurinol and it comes in the form of a tablet (solid unit dosage form). It is an antigout agent that belongs to the class of drugs known as xanthine oxidase inhibitors. It is a prescription drug that is used in the treatment of gout (arthritis that causes intense pain and redness in the joints due to deposition of uric acid crystals). Apart from the treatment of gout Gudloric is given in hyperuricemia and Chemotherapy-induced hyperuricemia (abnormally high levels of uric acid in the blood). It is also given in the treatment of kidney stones.
