Moximac Tablet Information

Moximac Tablet is a prescription medicine that is available as a Tablet. It is primarily used for the treatment of Bacterial Infections. Secondary and off-label uses of Moximac Tablet have also been mentioned below.

The optimal dosage of Moximac Tablet is largely dependent on the individual's body weight, medical history, gender and age. Moximac Tablet also has some side effects, the most common being Nausea or vomiting, Diarrhoea. Moximac contains moxifloxacin (a broad-spectrum antibiotic that belongs to the class of drugs known as fluoroquinolones). It works by inhibiting enzymes (topoisomerase IV and DNA gyrase) in bacteria which prevents the DNA replication, transcription, repair, and recombination that is essential for the survival of the susceptible organism. In this way Moximac is effective against a wide range of both gram negative and gram positive bacteria such as Enterococcus faecalis, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Streptococcus pyogenes, Escherichia coli, Haemophilus influenzae, Haemophilus parainfluenzae, Klebsiella pneumoniae, and Moraxella catarrhalis.
