Omekaa is a prescription medicine that is available as a Capsule. It is primarily used for the treatment of Acidity, Peptic Ulcer, GERD. Omekaa also has some secondary and off-label uses. These are listed below.

Yes, you can take Omekaa with ranitidine, both medicines work to reduce the acid secretion in the stomach and help to relieve from acidity, heartburn, and other stomach problem caused by acid. No, known interactions are seen between them when taking them together. However, it is best to consult a doctor before taking these two medicines at the same time.
Yes, Omekaa is safe to use, if taken in prescribed amount and duration as advised by your doctor. However, very few side effects are observed such as stomach upset, diarrhea, headache, dizziness, vomiting, and joint pain. If you experience any of the above- mentioned side effects after taking medicine then immediately consult your doctor follow his/her instruction.
Rarely Omekaa causes stomach cancer. There has been no direct relationship to establish the fact. However, stomach cancer and other cancers may develop because of recurring acid reflux for a long time for example 7 - 8 years or more. If you feel any symptoms associated with cancer such as consistent low-grade fever, weight loss due to unexplained reasons, and pain in the abdomen. Do not hesitate to get it diagnosed by a physician.
Omekaa should be taken 30 - 60 minute before meal. Preferably it should be taken once a day in the morning before breakfast. However, some people may require to take it twice in a day, in this case, 1 tablet should be taken in the morning and 1 tablet in the evening before meal. Please consult your doctor regarding the exact dosage regime of medicine and follow his/her instruction.
